Women Like The Performance Speed Cars Too
A U.K. study has found that women like fast, beautiful cars too. Well it’s about time someone noticed this. The weird part is the researches came up with the idea that it’s the sound of the engine that is turning women on.
Who pays for these studies?
Yessir. The study said that while the styling of the fast car is definitely an eye catcher, it’s the sound of the care that will appeal or not. And that the different sexes go for different sounds.
The boys liked the sounds of the Lamborghini engine while the girls responded more to the Maserati.
The respondents were not just asked questions, their hormone levels were actually measured. Swabs were taken of their saliva and the testosterone levels were measured after each car engine sound.
The information was collected from a study of 40 participants both male and female. They were played recordings of high performance sports car engines - Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and one non -sports car, the Volkswagen Polo. which is a subcompact car not sold in North America.
The maserati won for each and every woman.
For men, 60% had increased testosterone levels after hearing the Lamborghini soundtrack. Only 50 per cent of men experienced noticeable arousal from listening to the Maserati engine.
“We saw significant peaks, particularly in women,” psychologist David Moxon, who conducted the study commissioned by auto insurer Hiscox, told The Telegraph. “The roar of a luxury car engine does cause a primeval physiological response.”
The sound of the poor Polo engine actually decreased the levels of testosterone in those studied.
